Dear Sir की कहानी तीन लोगों से शुरू होती है
Dear Sir को अक्सर Mohd Kashif के चेहरे और teaching style से पहचाना जाता है। यह natural भी है, क्योंकि channel के कई सबसे popular lessons उन्हीं से जुड़े हैं।

लेकिन Dear Sir की foundation को केवल एक व्यक्ति की story मानना incomplete होगा।
Kashif के साथ उनके दो दोस्त Waqqas Malik और Aadil जुड़े और वहीं से online journey बनी।
तीनों का background अलग था। यही combination बाद में Dear Sir की strength बना।
Mohd Kashif: Teaching और simple explanation
Mohd Kashif Delhi में पले-बढ़े। उनके 2020 interview के अनुसार उन्होंने Delhi University से graduation किया, CA की पढ़ाई की और LLB भी किया। वह यह भी बताते हैं कि उन्होंने लगभग 14 साल की उम्र से teaching शुरू कर दी थी।

एक समय वह law firm में काम कर रहे थे। लेकिन teaching उनके साथ बनी रही।
बाद में उन्होंने English grammar की tuition classes शुरू कीं। Health और personal circumstances के कारण CA की journey प्रभावित हुई और teaching की तरफ उनका focus बढ़ा।
यानी YouTube आने से पहले उनके पास classroom exposure था।
वह जानते थे कि students कहाँ अटकते हैं, कौन-से concepts difficult लगते हैं और किस तरह explanation को आसान बनाया जा सकता है।
Aadil Khan: Formal teacher training और classroom pedagogy
Dear Sir की founding team में Aadil Khan का background खास तौर पर education-oriented है।
Aadil ने Jamia Millia Islamia से D.El.Ed, B.Ed और graduation किया है। वह CTET qualified भी हैं।

यह detail BadteRaho.Com के लिए सिर्फ़ secondary internet research से नहीं आती।
BadteRaho.Com के founder Imran Khan और Aadil Khan ने 2012 से 2014 के बीच Jamia Millia Islamia से D.El.Ed साथ किया था। दोनों classmates रहे हैं और आज भी अच्छे दोस्त हैं। एक ही इलाके में रहने के कारण weekends पर मिलना-जुलना, get-togethers और कभी-कभी informal parties भी होती रहती हैं।

D.El.Ed और B.Ed जैसे teacher-training programs subject knowledge से आगे जाते हैं। इनमें pedagogy, lesson planning, child development, classroom management और learner needs जैसे areas पर भी focus होता है।
Kashif ने 2020 के interview में Aadil को Dear Sir का founding member और एक strong teacher बताया था। Waqqas Malik ने भी Aadil को friend और business partner के रूप में refer किया।

Waqqas Malik: Technology, digital marketing और business thinking
Waqqas Malik का background comparatively अलग था।

उनके 2020 interview के अनुसार उन्होंने Delhi University से Commerce में graduation किया और Marketing and Sales में MBA कर रहे थे। उन्हें technology, programming, SEO, digital marketing और online brand building में strong interest था।
वह Dear Sir से पहले लगभग पाँच साल offline business में भी रहे थे। उनका एक बड़ा observation था कि offline setup की reach सीमित रहती है, जबकि internet audience को geographical limits से बाहर ले जा सकता है।

इसे बहुत rigid role division नहीं समझना चाहिए। समय के साथ responsibilities evolve होती हैं। लेकिन शुरुआती foundation को समझने के लिए यह combination useful है।
Tuition classes से YouTube का idea कैसे आया?
Dear Sir का idea किसी boardroom में नहीं बना था।
Kashif English grammar की classes दे रहे थे। Waqqas और Aadil भी उनके साथ जुड़े। बातचीत के दौरान idea आया कि जो classes offline पढ़ाई जा रही हैं, उनके videos online भी डाले जा सकते हैं।
यहीं से YouTube journey शुरू हुई।
Dear Sir का main YouTube channel 13 December 2016 को create हुआ था।
आज यह idea obvious लग सकता है।
लेकिन उस समय हर local teacher यह नहीं सोच रहा था कि classroom lesson को scalable digital content में बदला जा सकता है।

English grammar और Maths नई categories नहीं थीं।
Competition पहले से था।
